    Invited Presentation: Graph Analysis for Scientific Discovery
    Title: Connectome Coding Via Latent Position Estimation
    Abstract: We consider a latent position embedding approach to Connectome Coding, in which adjacency spectral embedding is applied to a large brain graph. The vertices represent neurons and the edges represent axon-synapse-dendrite connectivity. A Euclidean representation of the vertices via the eigendecomposition of the adjacency matrix for such a graph has been shown to estimate latent positions, and we consider subsequent inference (clustering or classification of neurons, for example) in this space.
