American Mathematical Monthly
Notes

Information for authors of Notes
The Monthly is not a research journal. Notes should appeal to a wide audience of mathematicians, rather than a few specialists. They should be crisp and striking. We seek notes that present a mathematical gem or an elegant/delicious proof of a known theorem.
Submissions
Please send your submission in PDF format to the editor, Professor Daniel Velleman, by email to mathmonthly@amherst.edu.
Correspondence for articles under review in the Notes section
Once submitted, if your article has been assigned for consideration for the Notes section, please direct your correspondence to monthly-notes@ams.jhu.edu.
Formatting your Note
Notes should be prepared in accordance with Monthly specifications. See A Sample Note for the Monthly and Formatting References for the Monthly. We encourage you to format your references using BibTeX and our Monthly BibTeX style file monthly.bst (click to download).
