Answers to all problemsTo the studentsThere is no solution manual available to students, but there is a complete solutions manual available to your instructor. Your instructor has the option of reproducing pages from the Instructor's Manual for you to use; that is your instructor's decision. Some instructors may be happy to give their students answers to problems before (or after) assignments are due. Others may prefer that you not receive such material. Some problems are solved in full in Appendix A. For others, hints are given to help you get started. In addition, all problems on the Self Tests are solved in full in Appendix B. To the instructorsAn Instructor's Manual is available from Brooks/Cole. The Manual contains solutions to all problems as well as comments about each section. Please contact Brooks/Cole to obtain a copy. You are welcome to photocopy solutions to problems for distribution to your class. Return to Mathematics: A Discrete Introduction home page.
