1.  In problem 2(a), the proper equation for du/dx is

du/dx = a + b dy/dx

2.  Note that in problem 3, the method of proving a 1st order equation
homogenous is different from that used in your book.  Feel free to use 
either approach.  (WARNING: Remember that homogeneous is a term used
in many ways in the study of differential equations.  Make sure you
look up the correct mean if you're using the index of the text.)

3.  Problem 4: yes, that IS e^{ex}.  Sorry, it was probably supposed to be
something easier.

4.  Problem 5: USE THE HINT.  The slope of the curve is the same as the 
slope of its tangent.  To find the solve of a line, you need only two 
points.  For this problem, the Pythagorean theorem will prove useful.

DO NOT solve the resulting equation.  All the question asks for is the model.
